What is a spam complaint and what do I need to do about it?

A spam complaint is when one of your subscribers has reported receiving an unwanted email, otherwise known as ‘abuse’ of their email address. This is usually performed by the recipient clicking on a ‘this is spam’ button within their email client. Any of your recipients who do this will be put into the Do Not Mail list. In most cases you do not need to follow this up, however, if it is a considerable amount of your data list that you sent to it will need to be looked into.
