CIM Essex launch new marketing breakfast series
Marketing managers and business owners in Essex are set to benefit from a new series of educational breakfast seminars delivered by The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
The sessions, which cover Facebook, Marketing Law, Identifying Influencers and Superfans Online, Perfect Presentation Skills and Maximising the Power of LinkedIn, will be held at the Ashcroft Business School, Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford starting from October.
Rechenda Smith, vice chair of CIM Essex and head of email marketing at little green plane, said: “We have launched the breakfast events as a result of the growing demand for bite size marketing courses in the region, in addition to our current full-day bootcamps and conferences. We have gathered industry experts from a mixture of backgrounds to provide a series that will deliver a real return on investment to attendees.”
The first event, Facebook: Demystifying the Timeline for Business, will take place on 20 October 2012. Led by Liam Shepherd (left), social media manager from Coast Digital, the session will explore the site’s new applications, EdgeRank, optimising content for maximum visibility and understanding Facebook Insights.
Liam added: “Many businesses seem confused by the new Facebook timeline and the effect it has had on their fan page. This marketing breakfast aims to equip delegates with a basic understanding of the new look, its features and ways they can evaluate their marketing activity on Facebook. Anyone should come along who wants to learn how to harness Facebook’s new features to help grow their business.”
The breakfast workshops run from 08:00 to 09:00 and are open to CIM members, non-members and students. Ticket prices start from £10 and include a buffet breakfast. For more information and to book, please visit www.cim.co.uk/essex or telephone 01628 427340.
